No, physical buildings and locations like a studio are not covered under Insurance Canopy’s spin teacher insurance plans; however, our plans do include coverage for liability claims. Insuring your studio would require you to have property insurance.
Our plans include General Liability Insurance and Damage to Premises Rented to You. These coverages can help you with accidental damages that occur in a space while you’re teaching.

Spin instructor insurance can cover you for a lot of common accidents you may face. The most popular claims we see include:
Slips, trips, and falls: As the instructor, it’s your job to keep your space safe. The general liability portion of your policy may cover accidents where someone trips over a bike, slips on sweat, or falls when standing up during a ride.
Student injuries and illnesses: If someone is hurt during your classes, the product liability portion of your policy may help cover their medical expenses. It could also cover this if you fail to properly disinfect the bikes between classes and students get sick.
Accidental damage in a studio: A student might accidentally break a studio’s bike, or trip while getting off a bike and damage a mirror on the wall. The studio could make you pay for repairs, and the general liability portion of your policy may help cover these expenses.
Damage to student’s property: If you fail to check the safety of the bikes before class, and one of the pedals breaks a student’s shoe clips, the professional liability portion of your policy may help you replace the broken shoe clips.
Failure to commit to contracts: You may have committed to teaching a certain class schedule, but you’re unable to make a class and find a substitute. The professional liability portion of your policy may help you pay for a studio’s lost revenue if they claim you failed to uphold your end of the contract.
