DJ Event Insurance
Get coverage for that last-minute gig with short-term DJ insurance!
What Is Short-Term DJ Insurance?
Short-term DJ liability insurance is our answer to one-day DJ insurance — it covers claims related to your business operations during a show or event. For example, if a club patron trips over your equipment or you damage a wedding venue’s floors, DJ event insurance could help cover the costs of these claims.
While you may only be looking for one-day DJ insurance, you need protection for set up and clean up, too. That’s why our coverage offers 3 days of general liability insurance, so you have a safety net for the duration of your event.
How Much Is DJ Event Insurance?
A 3-day general liability insurance policy starts at $59. You can also add unlimited additional insureds (like the venue or event coordinator) for an additional $5.

Why Should You Carry DJ Event Insurance?
- Having insurance boosts your credibility and professionalism
- Clients or club owners may require you to show proof of insurance and add them as additional insureds before booking with you
- DJ liability insurance gives you a layer of defense against claims, such as bodily injury or property damage
- Have the flexibility of three-day coverage so you can set up and shut down without worries, unlike with DJ insurance for a day
- Financial peace of mind!

FAQs About DJ Event Insurance
Do I Need DJ Event Insurance?
Yes! DJ event insurance protects your financial assets if you get sued due to an accident at one of your gigs. You could be held liable for claims like third-party injuries, illnesses, or damages. The legal costs of claims like these can be financially devastating. With short-term DJ insurance, you’ll have the protection you need if something goes wrong.
Does DJ Event Insurance Cover Lighting?
Our short-term DJ insurance policy covers lighting with two exceptions:
- We don’t cover pyrotechnics
- We don’t cover sound and lighting technicians
If you plan to set up small light displays for your own set, your event policy will cover you, but it won’t provide protection if you set up lights for another DJ’s set.
What Are The Benefits Of 3-Day DJ Insurance vs 1-Day DJ Insurance?
Our three-day DJ insurance policy covers everything that DJ Insurance for a day covers at no extra cost to you. So you can kick back and relax knowing you are covered when that party hits midnight.
Do I Need a DJ Event Policy or an Annual Policy?
Several factors determine whether you need an event or annual policy.
If you only work one or two events a year, a DJ event policy provides the basic general liability coverage you need to work safely. This is a great option if you book a last-minute wedding DJ gig.
However, if your calendar is packed or you perform more than a few times per year, annual DJ insurance is the way to go. Not only does this option provide year-round protection, but it also allows you to add options like Gear and Equipment Coverage and Cyber Liability.
Do You Offer Mobile DJ Insurance?
Both our annual and event policies cover mobile DJs. However, if you’re taking the show on the road, we suggest purchasing the annual policy for 365 days of protection for travel and gigs.
Plus, if you’re bringing your own speakers, mics, and other must-haves, you’ll need Gear and Equipment coverage to protect your DJ essentials in case they’re damaged or stolen (which is only available with our annual policy).
