Alex Hastings

Copywriter Alex Hastings is a licensed insurance agent in the state of Washington. She is a copywriter with Veracity Insurance, contributing to sites like Food Liability Insurance Program (FLIP) and Insurance Canopy.

Licensed in Property and Casualty insurance in Washington and fully trained in Veracity’s online programs, Alex creates content that helps small business owners understand their risks and find coverage that fits.

Alex holds a B.A. in Creative Writing from Western Washington University, where she graduated magna cum laude. Before joining Veracity, she worked as a retail copywriter at Zulily, taught English in South Korea, and served as an associate editor at Occam’s Razor.

She was awarded the Hoover Prize scholarship at WWU for independent research in political science, and her creative writing has appeared in journals including Jeopardy and Sweet Tree Review.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys reading (a lot), writing fiction and poetry, birding, and finding any excuse to get brunch.
