Insurance for wedding musicians starts at $18.50 per month or $199 annually. You can also add unlimited additional insureds (like the venue or event planner) for $5 per additional insured, per year. If you play only a couple of weddings per year, a musician event policy starting at $59 may be a great fit.

Do Wedding Venues Require Musicians to Carry Insurance?
Wedding venues often ask for proof of insurance, (also known as a Certificate of Insurance (COI), before they’ll allow musicians onto their stage. It’s their way of protecting themselves in case something unexpected happens, like your equipment scratching their floor or a guest tripping over your amp.
Can I Add a Wedding Venue or Client as an Additional Insured?
Yes! For $5 per additional insured per year, you can add unlimited additional insureds to your policy, so you’re covered, no matter how many gigs you book.
Am I Covered if I Perform at Multiple Weddings During the Year?

Wedding musician insurance can cover accidental damage to a venue during set-up, performance, or load-out. It’s a layer of protection designed to help cover accidents like if your gear scratches a floor, your amp cabinet rolls into a wall and knocks a hole in it, or you drop a venue mic.
Do I Need This Policy If I Only Perform at a Few Weddings Each Year?
If you perform at only a few weddings each year, an annual policy might still make more sense financially than an event policy. Event policies for wedding musicians start at $59 for three consecutive days of coverage.
An event policy is ideal if you’re planning on playing one or two weddings, but if you plan to add more gigs to your calendar, an annual policy is only $199 (or $18.50/month) for unlimited events in a year.
Can Wedding Singers Get the Same Coverage as Wedding Bands or Instrumentalists?
Yes! Wedding singers can get the same coverage as instrumentalists, musicians, and bands with wedding musician insurance, so soloists aren’t on their own when it comes to liability protection.
