What Is Santa Claus Insurance?
Santa Claus insurance is general liability insurance that provides financial protection from third-party claims that arise out of your gigs and business operations. It covers:
- Bodily injury: A kid has an allergic reaction to your beard, and the parents sue you for the medical bills
- Property damage: You accidentally destroy an expensive vase at a company party
- Personal and advertising injury: Posting a photo of you and a kid as promotional material without getting the parents’ permission
Why Should You Carry Santa Claus Insurance?
You need Santa Claus insurance because most venues and events require a Certificate of Insurance (COI) before hiring you. Sometimes, venues and events may even ask you to add them as an additional insured to your policy. Plus, without coverage, you could face hefty claims that drain your profits.
How Much Is Santa Claus Insurance?
Our annual policy starts at $18.50 a month or $199 annually. If you need to cover your Santa costume and props, you can add Gear and Equipment coverage to your policy for as low as $7.50 per month.

What's Included in Santa Claus Liability Insurance?
Annual and event Santa Claus entertainer insurance includes:

With an annual policy, you can all add optional coverages like:
- Gear and Equipment, aka Inland Marine Insurance
