General and professional liability insurance will help you cover most claims you’ll face as a Zumba instructor. Most studios, gyms, private facilities, or public spaces that require you to have insurance are mainly looking for these two coverages.
Below are the most popular insurance coverages you will find included in our Zumba insurance plan, plus the optional coverages we offer.
Yes, many property owners and studios require tenants to carry their own insurance policy. This is because their insurance likely does not cover accidents caused by other people who use the space.
If any injuries or property damage happen in the rented space because of your Zumba class, you would be responsible for covering those costs. Since the property owner’s insurance can’t protect you, your liability insurance could help you pay for a claim.
You may also be required to include the property owner or studio as an additional insured on your policy. This means your policy could help protect them if an accident in your Zumba class results in a lawsuit. If someone tries to sue both you and the studio, your insurance would help cover their legal fees along with yours.
You purchase and add additional insureds during the application process. You can also add additional insureds from your online customer dashboard at any time.
It’s $15 to add one additional insured and $30 to add an unlimited amount.
Property management, gyms, businesses, and studios can all be added to your Zumba fitness instructor insurance policy, but you can’t add a co-worker, family member, or friend as an additional insured. Each instructor must purchase their own liability policy.
