Showing your customers you value them can be difficult at times, especially when there’s a global pandemic going on. We’re here to help you brainstorm some ideas that work for you and your business so that this summer, you can show your customers how much you appreciate them and value their business.

PROMOTIONS/COUPONS

We know that you work hard to build your cleaning business, and you may not always be able to offer coupons or promotions. However, if this is an option for your business, offering coupons is a great way to show your customers that you value them. You can get creative with what coupons you offer. Perhaps you offer a two-for-one discount, where they purchase one house cleaning and get one free. You could also offer a referral promotion where they can get a free carpet cleaning if they refer a friend or neighbor to your business. However you want to set up your coupons and promotions is up to you, but it is a great way to show customer appreciation.

SAME-DAY SERVICE APPOINTMENTS

Servicing a same-day appointment can be a little tricky, but we believe you can do it! Perhaps during a week that you don’t have as many scheduled cleaning appointments, you can let your customers know that you will be offering same-day services for that week only. This will also depend on the number of employees you have staffed, but consider offering this service as a way to show your appreciation to your customers that keep your cleaning business running.

GOODIE BASKET

Who doesn’t love a good treat? Next time you’re cleaning your customer’s windows or whatever it may be, drop off a goodie basket full of sweet and savory treats for your customer to enjoy. It’s the little things that go a long way, and it’s a simple way to show that you appreciate that your customers trust and choose you to clean their home or office.

FREE SERVICE WITH PURCHASE OF SERVICE

Along the lines with the promotions, is a free service with a purchase of service. For example, if one of your customers has a weekly appointment to get her home cleaned by your company, you can offer to clean the carpets in the bedrooms as well, to show this customer appreciation. Your customers are sure to appreciate whatever your business can offer.

GIVEAWAYS

For a giveaway, you can ask each customer to refer a friend or neighbor to your cleaning business and for each referral, they get one ticket entered into a giveaway. The referred neighbor can get one ticket entered in for being referred, and also one ticket for each person or household they refer. This is a great way to spread the word, get more customers, and get people excited about your cleaning services!

To put your giveaway together, you can partner up with other local businesses to create a giveaway together so that you can catch a broader audience. Perhaps you partner with a local bakery to give away some of their delicious sweets, or purchase gift cards from local businesses to be put in the giveaway. However you want to set up your giveaway is up to you, and it’s a great way to mix things up a bit.

HAPPY PLANNING!

We hope that the above tips have helped you start brainstorming what your cleaning business can do to help show appreciation to your customers this summer. Use whatever resources you have available to show them that you’re grateful they trust you to clean their homes or offices. You have a couple of months to plan, so now is the perfect time to get started!
